Dear Parent,

" A nation that destroys its soils destroys itself. Forests are the lungs of our land, purifying the air and giving fresh strength to our people.” - Franklin D. Roosevelt

As we are all aware that the Climate Change is taking a toll on our lives and our children’s future is endangered, if we do not take steps to conserve our environment immediately. We need to act before it is too late. In view of this grim situation, at JPS we have decided to reduce the use of paper and also to make our campus Plastic Free.

In view of the above, it is proposed to replace most of the printed communication with parents with the digital medium using the WhatsApp. We see the use of WhatsApp around us and most of us are probably already using this medium in our regular communication with family and friends. It is proposed to have Class Wise WhatsApp Group with the following benefits:

  1. It will help parents to receive all communication immediately and directly.
  2. Most of the written communication such as Weekly Academic Plan, Notice, etc. can be retrieved at any time without the fear of losing the same.
  3. All Parents of the same class will be able to receive the same information.
  4. In the Pre Primary and the Primary, it will especially be helpful, as children of these classes always cannot effectively share the information.
  5. Photographs of various events can be shared easily.
  6. Finally it will reduce the use of paper and help save trees. In this regard, please feel free to share your opinion in the consent slip below along with the WhatsApp Number to which all communication can be made and submit the slip to the Class Teacher within 14.06.2019 (Friday).

Also, we wish to have a Plastic Free Campus and therefore, we request parents not to send any plastic items with children to school. Guide children not to liter plastic but it must be dropped in the dust bins.

We look forward to your support in making a small effort towards conserving our environment.

Regards

Dear Parent,

Warm Greetings!

“Many activities and team play participation, will give you a training that will prove invaluable later on in life- Walter Annenberg”

In today’s world being good only in academics is not the only key to success. A child should have life skills in order to be successful in her/ his post school days. Life Skills are not learnt through books, but are experienced through participating in different activities of interest.

In order to develop various skills among our school children, it is decided to introduce Extra Curricular Activities (ECA for classes I to VIII) and Clubs (for classes V to VIII) in school (within regular school timings) along with the regular Co -Curricular Activities (CCA). We expect that a student must choose the activity of her/ his choice and continue to participate in it for one academic session. Once the choice is made she/ he can only change in the next academic session.

The details of the Activities under ECA are given below, please tick your choice and submit the form to the respective class teacher/ office within 7th May 2019. The activities will start from the week of reopening after the summer vacation (14th June 2019 onwards) and will continue till the Month of January 2020. Also, note that as informed in the Annual Parent Meet, in case of certain ECA or Clubs, expert Coaches/ Trainers from outside school will be hired and students will be required to pay nominal fee in order to enroll themselves with the activity.
